Curriculum

The call schedule below represents a typical 1st-year rotation of a 5-year program in the John C. Lincoln General Surgery Residency Program. Upper level residents have more flexibility regarding their choice of electives.

Call Schedule

We have the advantage of establishing our own call schedule. Interns take call every fifth to sixth day. Upper level residents take call every fourth to fifth day.

Conferences

Protected Education Time and Conferences.

We believe in a well-rounded program of hands-on and educational experience. The John C. Lincoln General Surgery Residency Program includes protected education time for the following: morbidity and mortality, journal club, grand rounds, simulation lab, didactic lectures (basic science and clinical) and OMM lectures.
