Vimala Kukunoor, MD

Dr. Kukunoor received her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India and completed her residency at Wayne State University/St. John Hospital Medical Center in Detroit, MI.

Dr. Kukunoor is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been on staff at North Phoenix Medical Clinic since 2005. She is also on staff at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.

Dr. Kukunoor's areas of special interest include internal medicine and women's health.

Alfredo Lim, MD

Alfredo Lim, MD

Dr. Lim is a specialist in internal medicine, with a special interest in caring for the health of seniors. He strongly encourages his patients to participate in preventative health screenings so that any health problems can be detected and treated in the early stages when they are easy to manage.

Dr. Lim received his medical degree from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines, in 1986. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Geriatrics Society. He is a Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Lim also speaks Chinese and Tagalog.

Dr. Lim is on staff at both of John C. Lincoln's Phoenix hospitals: John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital and John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.

Clinical interests: Nephrology (kidney diseases), hypertension and diabetes management.

Philosophy of care: "It is important to form good relationships with your patients in order to build trust. It is also important to educate our patients about how their medical conditions are affecting their bodies and why it's necessary to aggressively manage, or not manage, these conditions, so that our patients can feel comfortable about the guidance we are giving them on their medical care. Physicians should treat their patients as if they are their own family members."

Hobbies and personal interests: Golfing, skiing and playing other recreational sports. Watching Michigan Wolverines football. Solving crosswords and other puzzles. Relaxing at home with his wife.

Dr. Poles received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He served as an internist at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix before joining North Phoenix Medical Clinic in 1975.

Dr. Poles is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the Maricopa County Medical Society and American Society of Internal Medicine. He is on staff at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.

Dr. Poles' areas of special interest include internal medicine, geriatrics and hospice and palliative care.

Dr. Shucker received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. He joined North Phoenix Medical Clinic in 1982.

Dr. Shucker is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Maricopa County Medical Society, the American Geriatrics Society and the Arizona Geriatrics Society. He is on staff at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.
