It may not be measurable, but doctors know that their patients' mental attitudes affect their health. And we all know our attitudes improve when we look good.
That's the basis for Look Good — Feel Better! This free, non-medical, brand-neutral public service program teaches beauty techniques that help cancer patients manage the appearance-related side effects of treatment. It’s designed for women who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or other forms of cancer treatment. It’s open to all women with cancer, their friends and family and will include a question-and-answer session.
Co-sponsored by John C. Lincoln and the American Cancer Society, the program will be presented from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center, 19646 N. 27th Ave., Suite 205, Phoenix.
Although the program is free, space is limited and reservations are required. Please RSVP by calling 623-434-2784 or emailing BHRC@JCL.com.
