Jim Dearing, DO
Jim Dearing, DO, medical director for John C. Lincoln's Physician Network, has been selected by Channel 12 as its new morning news medical expert.
Dr. Dearing will work with KPNX-TV morning news anchor Fay Fredricks and her co-anchors, Joe Dana and Syleste Rodriguez, to help viewers understand how health stories in the news affect them.
Dr. Dearing will appear live between 5 and 7 a.m. whenever there is breaking health news that affects Valley residents.
Twice board-certified, Dr. Dearing is a family physician who has taught for two decades at the Midwestern College of Osteopathic Medicine, and more recently at the new Phoenix campus of the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He continues to hold several prestigious positions for nationally recognized medical associations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
A 1977 graduate of Arizona State University and a 1984 graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Dr. Dearing completed an internship at Phoenix General Hospital (now John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital) and three fellowships in family medicine and health care policy.
