The City of Phoenix will recognize John C. Lincoln Health Network on Tuesday, April 29 as a FitPHX business. Councilman Daniel Valenzuela, District 5, will present the award to John C. Lincoln's WELLness program leadership.
FitPHX is a city-wide initiative developed with the goal of improving health and wellness in the region and making the Phoenix area one of the healthiest in the nation.
John C. Lincoln Health Network's WELLness program is an essential part of why the organization is receiving the recognition. The WELLness program's mission is to enhance the individual wellness of every employee and to support and encourage each person and their family along the path to optimal health.
"The goals of the WELLness program are aligned with the organizational goals," said Dianna Scaccia, MS, WELLness coordinator. "Our hope is to improve the health and well-being of every employee, create a culture of wellness and contain costs."
The FitPHX Business Program is partnering with the Healthy Arizona Worksites Program, a public health initiative developed through a partnership between the Arizona Department of Health Services, the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and the Arizona Small Business Association. The training is based on the curriculum offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Healthy Worksite Program. For more information, visit healthyazworksites.org.
