More than 280 golfers rallied around the cause of helping children and families in need on Sept. 20 at the Wildfire Golf Club and raised $200,000 for Desert Mission’s community programs.
Net proceeds from this year’s event increased more than 17 percent compared to 2012. Desert Mission served more than 40,000 people last year ensuring fewer kids went to bed hungry, more families had access to quality medical care and teens in crisis could receive the counseling they need to get back on track.
"This important work would not be possible without the generous support of our golfers and sponsors," said Marcia Mintz, CEO of the John C. Lincoln Health Foundation. "We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this day a success so we can continue to help the community."
