Extended Hours Available at Saguaro Family Practice in North Phoenix

Illness is often inconvenient, popping up after regular doctor office hours.

But if you live in the communities of North Phoenix, Desert Ridge, Paradise Valley and north Scottsdale, you can turn to Saguaro Family Practice at 18404 N. Tatum Blvd., Suite 101, Phoenix.

Part of the John C. Lincoln Physician Network, Saguaro Family Practice offers extended hours for both routine appointments and immediate care.

Primary care hours — with appointments — are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Walk-in clinic hours — no appointment needed, and you don't need to be a Saguaro Family Practice patient — are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

"No one who's sick will be turned away during walk-in clinic hours," said family practice physician Gary Rada, MD. "The emergency department is often overused by individuals who don't need critical care. We offer an alternative."

During primary care hours, you'll see a qualified physician who has your medical records. All of the following services are available in one convenient location:

  • Assessment and treatment of illnesses and accidents.
  • Annual physicals.
  • Well child exams (infant-adolescent).
  • Sports and school physicals.
  • Pap tests.
  • Treatment of work-related injuries.
  • Department of Transportation exams.
  • Minor surgery/suturing.
  • EKGs, X-rays and most lab procedures (until 6 p.m. Monday - Friday).

When a physician assistant or nurse practitioner is on duty, an MD is always available for consultation by phone, Dr. Rada noted. "We're dedicated to providing the kind of personal, sensitive and professional health care we would choose for our own families."
