John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital is a recipient of a Premier QUEST Award for High Value Healthcare - Honorable Mention, awarded in June.
Six hospitals in the country received the top award, and Deer Valley is one of 87 hospitals in the country — and the only hospital in Arizona — that achieved an honorable mention for top performance in these three QUEST measures:
- Mortality: Eliminate avoidable hospital deaths.
- Cost of care: Safely reduce the cost of care for each patient's hospitalization.
- Evidence-based care: Deliver the most reliable and effective care based on national guidelines that follow proven practices.
To be eligible for this award, participating hospitals agree to, among other things, transparently share their progress on a set of uniform measures on a regular basis and share best practices and successful innovations.
Premier is a performance improvement alliance of more than 2,500 US hospitals and 75,000-plus other health care sites. The company is owned by hospitals, health systems and other providers that collaborate to provide high quality, cost-effective care.
