It's been said we are what we eat, and it's certainly true that good nutrition can give us all a healthy boost in life.
In this free program for people affected by breast cancer — survivors, family and friends — a registered dietitian will cover breast cancer-related nutrition topics during a cooking demonstration and tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center, 19646 N. 27th Ave., Suite 205, Phoenix.
The presentation features meals loaded with antioxidants that help boost the immune system. Eating well can also help cancer patients maintain healthy weight, reduce fatigue and increase energy throughout their journey.
The talk, followed by a question-and-answer session, is free, but space is limited and reservations are required. Please RSVP by calling 623-434-2784 or emailing BHRC@JCL.com.
