The 42nd Annual Night of Gold Ball raised more than $550,000 to support vital hospital and community programs in Phoenix, breaking last year's record with a 35 percent increase.
Proceeds from the gala will help save lives by supporting important programs throughout John C. Lincoln Health Network including the Level I Trauma Center at North Mountain, the Breast Health and Research Center, the Virginia G. Piper Center for Pediatric Excellence at Deer Valley, and Desert Mission community programs.
Attendance at the March 19 event also set a new record with more than 700 leaders in the business, professional and medical community coming together for a Night in Casablanca at the Camelback Inn. DeeDee Friedlander served as chair of the ball, a spring tradition hosted by the John C. Lincoln Health Foundation Guild.

After thanking the JCL Trauma caregivers, Brandt kicked off the fund-a-need live auction with a $10,000 donation on behalf of APS and a pledge to match the next two $10,000 donations. His challenge was quickly met with five additional gifts at the $10,000 level. With the support of APS and a number of other generous donors, the fund-a-need auction raised a total of $212,000.
"We have many things for which to be thankful, perhaps the most valuable is our health," said Marcia Mintz, John C. Lincoln Health Foundation CEO. "I am sincerely grateful for the incredible generosity and support of our Foundation. Tonight's proceeds will help save lives and change lives."
The Guild's next fund-raising event is the Lincoln Guild Invitational golf tournament coming up on Sept. 21. For more information, visit JCL.com/foundation.
