Motor vehicle accidents are the leading killer of children under the age of 14. One reason why: More than 80 percent of child safety seats in America are installed improperly, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
One of the most important jobs as a parent or caregiver is keeping your child safe when riding in a vehicle. With our child safety seat program, John C. Lincoln wants to help make that job easier for parents. By choosing the right safety seat and installing it properly, together we can help reduce injuries related to car accidents.
Free Safety Seat Inspection and Installation
John C. Lincoln offers complimentary safety seat inspections and installations at our Deer Valley and North Mountain Hospital campuses alike.
Each inspection and installation is provided by a certified child safety seat technician who is on John C. Lincoln's medical staff. A certified child safety seat technician has completed a series of in-depth classes and several hours of practice training through the National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Certification Training Program.
Emergency Care for Children

The process takes approximately 20 minutes and includes:
- Assisting with the proper use of child restraint systems and safety belts.
- Inspection or installation the child safety seat.
- Ensuring the individual safety seat is not on the current recall list.
- Answering questions.
If a child safety seat is on the recall list, John C. Lincoln will provide a replacement seat at no charge. If replacements seats are no longer available, a list of community resources that offer child safety seats will be given.
