John C. Lincoln offers specialized cardiac rehab centers at each of our two Phoenix, Arizona hospitals. Through highly individualized care, our patients receive the support they need to meet the daily challenges of recovering from various heart conditions, including bypass surgery, heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases.
Patients typically are enrolled in our cardiac rehab program for up to three months. Thereafter, they may continue to participate in our program's ongoing health maintenance services. Under our care, patients receive support from a number of health professionals — including cardiologists, registered nurses, exercise physiologists, nutritionists and medical social workers — who have specialized roles in the cardiac rehabilitation process. Using state-of-the-art monitoring and exercise equipment, patients are guided through exercises that build stamina and strength. Patients also receive nutrition counseling, lifestyle education, and emotional support. Individual education and counseling — covering specific cardiac risk factors and medications — are also provided.
Our cardiac rehab centers have adopted patient care standards outlined by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Further, the cardiac rehab program at North Mountain Hospital has been granted National Program Certification by the AACVPR.
