Highly Coordinated Care

What we do goes far beyond offering a diagnosis. Our patient care team will lead each diagnosed patient through every step of the breast cancer journey — diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. This dedicated patient care team will:

  • Coordinate medical records and compile them into one easy-to-carry and manage binder.
  • Schedule physician appointments.
  • Communicate with referring physicians to coordinate next steps in the treatment plan.
  • Ensure that each diagnosed patient knows what to do after visiting our office.
  • Locate financial assistance and other resources needed for those affected by breast cancer, their families and caregivers.
  • Provide information on support groups and activities available to help alleviate some of the isolation and burden felt with a cancer diagnosis.

Highlights of Our Center

At the John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center in Phoenix, our patients spend less time waiting for appointments, and they have access to a level of medical expertise and care that's tough to match.

Convenience: Patients have access to state-of-the-art screening, diagnostic and interventional breast imaging technologies and services in one location. This includes 3D mammography with digital breast tomosynthesis (for screening and diagnostic mammograms alike), breast ultrasound, ultrasound- or stereotactic-guided breast biopsies and breast MRI.

We also offer brain and spine scans on the premises, using a sophisticated MRI machine. Breast cancer survivors are often prescribed breast and spine MRIs by their oncologists, as part of their annual checkups.

Enhanced medical support: For patients diagnosed with breast cancer and high-risk concerns, our breast health patient case review panel makes multidisciplinary and educational review recommendations.

A focus on patient support and education: Each case is managed by a patient care team.

Strong community relationships: Partnerships with organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have given opportunities for the center to provide additional financial assistance, clinical trials, educational programs and other resources to those affected by breast cancer.

Additional related services: Patients also have access to our on-site wig- and prosthesis-fitting room, state-of-the-art bone densitometry unit and a multimedia library. The library is free of charge, and patients are encouraged to visit the library and check out any of the books, DVDs or other materials.
