The John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center gives you all of this in a caring, comfortable setting — along with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and interventional technologies. From routine mammograms to advanced interventional procedures, you'll encounter breast health care that's equally comprehensive, comfortable and cutting edge.

Experts have recognized our commitment to breast care. In March 2011, our center was designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the national professional organization for physicians who specialize in medical imaging. Only 633 of the nation's 8,600 breast imaging centers have earned this designation. What's more, our center is just the ninth in Arizona so honored.

Highly Coordinated Care

What we do goes far beyond offering a diagnosis. Our patient care coordinator will lead each diagnosed patient through every step of the breast cancer treatment process. This dedicated patient representative will:

• Coordinate medical records and compile them into one easy-to-carry and manage book.
• Schedule physician appointments.
• Communicate with referring physicians to coordinate next steps in the treatment plan.
• We ensure that each diagnosed patient knows what to do after visiting our office.

What's more, through our center's multimedia library and our community partnerships, patients and their families can find the support groups, classes and answers they need, in one place.

Highlights of Our Center

At John C. Lincoln's breast center in Phoenix, our patients spend less time waiting for appointments, and they have access to a level of medical expertise and care that's tough to match.

Convenience: Patients have access to state-of-the-art screening, diagnostic and interventional breast imaging technologies and services in one location. This includes 3D mammography with digital breast tomosynthesis (for screening and diagnostic mammograms alike), breast ultrasound, ultrasound- or stereotactic-guided breast biopsies and breast MRI.

We also offer brain and spine scans on the premises, using a sophisticated MRI machine. Breast cancer survivors are often prescribed breast and spine MRIs by their oncologists, as part of their annual checkups.

Dedicated staff: Our staff includes two well-respected breast imaging radiologists, who are dedicated to the center. Other members of our staff have specialized certifications and advanced experience in breast care.

Enhanced medical support: For patients diagnosed with breast cancer and high-risk concerns, our breast health patient case review panel makes multidisciplinary and educational review recommendations.

A focus on patient support and education: Each case is managed by a patient care coordinator.

Strong community relationships: Partnerships with organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The Wellness Community and Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) have opened doors for patients to participate in financial assistance, clincial trials and support groups involving the mind, body and spirit.
