The laboratory at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital provides quality laboratory testing for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups. The fast-paced laboratory provides both inpatient and outpatient testing, with a focus on emergency beds.
John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital Laboratory is one of a select group of laboratories that have been evaluated and found to be in compliance with the College of American Pathologist accreditation standards — rigorous laboratory standards designed to help ensure quality patient care. The CAP's program is the most respected and recognized laboratory accreditation program in the world and has long been considered the "gold standard" against which others are measured.
The laboratory provides testing across many specialties, including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology, immunology, limited microbiology, pathology and phlebotomy.
A variety of positions are available in the laboratory, including laboratory supervisors, medical technologists, medical technicians and laboratory assistants.
Scheduling & Shifts
The laboratory operates 24-hours a day. Shifts vary from 4-, 8- and 10-hour shifts with flexible scheduling and shifts.
MediTech is the laboratory and hospital's computer information system. Additional instrumentation in the laboratory includes: Dimension RXL, Abbott Axsym, Immunilite 1000, Stago, Clinitek, Ortho MTS, Bactec and more.
