This support group is for those caring for an elderly parent or a physically challenged family member. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month and features a speaker.

Support for young women with breast cancer is open - and free - to all breast cancer patients younger than 50 to share the special support they need from survivors their own age to communicate effectively with their children, husbands or other loved ones while they stay strong to fight their disease.

Better Breathers meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 1:30-3 p.m. (except November).

The Circle of Help, a support group for women who have metastatic, advanced or recurrent breast cancer meets in the library at John C. Lincoln's Breast Health and Research Center.  The Circle of Help, is open - and free - to all advanced breast cancer patients.

Linda Liu, MD, a breast surgery specialist, will discuss genetic testing for breast cancer to help understand the risk of developing breast disease or recurrence if you have the BRCA gene. Dr. Liu will discuss the decision to get tested, how to get tested and the risks involved, then answer questions from the audience.

The free talk will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on July 29 at the Cowden Center, 9202 N. Second St., Phoenix, on the campus of John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.

This event is presented through a partnership of the John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center and The Wellness Community-Arizona. Light refreshments will be served.
