Breastfeeding has benefits, even if you do it only for a short time.

A one-time class for women considering breastfeeding is held the first and third Monday of every month.

The fee is $10 per couple.

This support group is for those caring for an elderly parent or a physically challenged family member. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month and features a speaker.

At the monthly Valley Insulin Pumpers Support Group, members share their experiences with continuous and intermittent insulin therapy, as well as discuss the variety of insulin pumps available.

New and experienced pumpers are welcome to attend. Also invited is anyone interested in learning about this mode of diabetes management.

John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital invites people living with lung disease and their caregivers to participate in the Better Breathers Support Group.

Better Breathers meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center, in collaboration with The Wellness Community - Arizona, offers the free monthly Breast Cancer Networking Group.

This emotional support group affords an opportunity to gather new information and share emotional support with people who have "walked a mile in your shoes."

The group meets on the last Thursday of each month, from 6 to 8 p.m. November and December dates may differ due to holidays.
