Better Breathers meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 1:30-3:00 p.m. (except November).

The Circle of Help, a support group for women who have metastatic, advanced or recurrent breast cancer, is open - and free - to all advanced breast cancer patients.

Jet Dahlgren, LMT, CDT, a Vodder-certified therapist in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy, and Lise Walker, MD, breast surgeon, will present an overview of lymphedema, treatment and management options. Lymphedema is the lymphatic system’s inability to eliminate waste products, resulting in fluid retention, and is a side effect of breast cancer treatment.

Light snacks and refreshments will be served. This free talk and question-and-answer session is co-sponsored by the John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center and The Wellness Community.
