AAS Degree Nursing Program Admission Information
There are a number of courses and prerequisites that must be completed before nursing candidates are eligible for admission to the Maricopa Community College District Nursing Program AAS degree program.
Interested nursing student candidates should contact the PVCC Nursing Student Advisement Office at (602) 787-7060. The Paradise Valley Community College Advisement Office will help students review their transcripts and determine what prerequisites, if any, still need to be completed.
When all prerequisites have been successfully completed, candidates may apply for the program. (Click here for more information about the MCCD Nursing Program and to download an application.) Qualified candidates will have the option of selecting their site choices within the nine Maricopa County Community College nursing program sites, and they will be randomly computer-matched with available programs.
Full-time JCL Affiliates nursing students who commit to post-graduation employment with John C. Lincoln Health Network may be eligible for a financial support stipend during the nursing education program. Additional work/study tuition assistance may also become available for students who work full- or part-time for John C. Lincoln while attending college nursing program classes.
John C. Lincoln provides the space and funding for faculty who teach on the campus of John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital in about 6,000 square feet of space in Cowden Center. This space includes nursing classrooms, clinical skills lab, computer lab, conference room, student and faculty lounges, and faculty and administrative offices.
Clinical experience and instruction is provided at both John C. Lincoln hospitals and John C. Lincoln Health Network community outreach programs.
