Overview
The laboratory at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital provides quality laboratory testing for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups. The fast-paced laboratory provides a service line for both inpatients and outpatient testing, with focus on emergency beds.
Department Composition
The laboratory provides testing across many specialties, including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology, immunology, limited microbiology, pathology and phlebotomy.
Unit Staffing
A variety of positions are available in the Laboratory, including laboratory supervisors, medical technologists, medical technicians and laboratory assistants.
Scheduling & Shifts
The Laboratory operates 24-hours a day. Shifts vary from 4-, 8- and 10-hour shifts with flexible scheduling and shifts.
Clinical Applications
MediTech is the Laboratory and hospital’s computer information system. Additional instrumentation in the laboratory includes: Dimension RXL, Abbott Axsym, Immunilite 1000, Stago, Clinitek, Ortho MTS, Bactec and more.
