Perioperative Services
at North Mountain Hospital

Overview

The Perioperative Services department at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is comprised of the departments of Surgery (including the hospital’s Level I Trauma Center), Endoscopy, Sterile Processing and Centralized Scheduling.

Surgical Volume

Inpatient Surgery performs approximately 900 surgeries per month.

Unit Size

The department of Surgery has 16 operating rooms and includes cardiac suites, a cysto suite and trauma suites.

Scheduling & Shifts

Schedules in both surgery areas are flexible. Schedules are posted four weeks in advance, and eight hour shifts are offered. RNs and OR Technicians are required to participate in scheduled on-call shifts.

Elective surgery is scheduled Monday through Friday during the day; emergency surgeries are scheduled 24 hours, seven days a week.

Special Procedures

Perioperative Services at North Mountain performs surgical procedures in all sub-specialties, including orthopedics, total joint replacement, general, gynecology, vascular, cardiac, ENT, oral surgery, neurology, urology, thoracic, reconstructive plastics, ophthalmology and trauma procedures.

The Davinci robot is available for use in a variety of sub-specialty procedures.
