College Nursing Programs

John C. Lincoln Health Network is committed to continuing the noble profession of nursing and supporting those dedicated people who make nursing their life’s work.

Degree-granting educational opportunities for nurses at John C. include:

Become a Nurse: In collaboration with Paradise Valley Community College, we are proud to provide one of nine sites for the Maricopa Community College Nursing Program. Classes are held at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital. The program graduates approximately 34 students a year with an AAS degree and clinical experience. For more information about the program, visit nursing.maricopa.edu.

RN to BSN: This program gives those who became a nurse through an associate's degree the opportunity to earn their bachelor's degree through a collaboration between John C. Lincoln and Grand Canyon University. Classes are held at both John C. Lincoln North Mountain and Deer Valley Hospital campuses.

MS Program: In partnership with Grand Canyon University, nurses who seek a graduate degree can obtain an MS. Classes are held at both John C. Lincoln North Mountain and Deer Valley Hospital campuses, and tuition assistance is available.

Benefits of Enrollment

Beyond helping address a national shortage of nurses, these programs benefit John C. nurses in two important ways:

  • Faculty Positions: Many of our nursing staff have enjoyed the opportunity to share our professional knowledge and experience in classroom and clinical settings. Opportunities exist in all three degree programs, AAS, BSN and MS.
  • Student Placement: Once students working toward their AAS degree have completed all of their pre-requisites, securing a spot in a colloge program can still be difficult. However, current John C. employees have an advantage. Half of the student slots are reserved just for those affiliated with the John C. Lincoln Health Network—employees, volunteers and our family members.

For more information on how to become a student in our nursing programs, contact the John C. Lincoln College Nursing Programs office at 602-216-5670.
