For more than 30 years, Dr. Strand has been dedicated to detecting signs of disease in patients from all walks of life.

A partner at Pinnacle Radiology, he is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners and is licensed to practice in six states.

Dr. Strand is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, and has established radiology practices in California, Colorado and Arizona. He also served as Chief of Radiology for many years at Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix.

Dr. Strand has found a way to combine his career with another life-long interest – track and field. While an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska, Dr. Strand was an accomplished runner named as an NCAA All American in Track. Since then, he’s incorporated his love for the sport into his passion for medicine, serving as the Chief Medical Officer for the United States Olympic Track and Field Trials in 1992 and 1996. Dr. Strand was also a member of the USA 2000 Olympic Team in Australia, as a physician for the American Track and Field Olympic athletes.

Dr. Strand is a current or past member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Radiology, American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Association, the Maricopa County Medical Society, the Phoenix Radiology Society, the Phoenix Ultrasound Society, the Radiology Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the World Congress on Motor Sports Medicine and USA Track and Field. He is a life member of the Fiesta Bowl committee and has been active with Special Olympics International.

Dr. Strand also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children as well as traveling, reading, golfing and skiing.
