Michael G. Sills, MD

Pinnacle Radiology welcomed Dr. Sills to the practice as a partner in 2002.

Dr. Sills has practiced for eight years and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is licensed to practice in five states. His extensive medical training includes a one-year fellowship in Thoracic Radiology and Breast Imaging at the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver following his residency in diagnostic radiology in Cleveland, Ohio and Denver, Colorado. He earned his medical degree from the University of California at Davis.

His passion for science includes not only medicine, but also engineering and mathematics. Before beginning his medical career, Dr. Sills' love of science led him to engineering. He worked as an aerospace systems engineer while earning his Master's Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. He also worked with NASA in guiding earth-orbiting satellites. He was working toward entering the civilian astronaut program before the tragic explosion of the space shuttle Challenger caused NASA to put the program on hold.

Dr. Sills enjoys travel, reading, Roller-blading and skiing. He is a terrific amateur astronomer and enjoys teaching astronomy to young people.
