Non-Surgical Heart Care
Thanks to advances in medical technology, many heart-related procedures that once required surgery now can be performed through less invasive methods. These non-surgical treatments are offered in our cardiac catheterization lab, also called the “cath lab.”
We recently remodeled the cath labs at both John C. Lincoln Hospitals, outfitting them with top-of-the-line technology. New, high-definition monitors now provide the clearest images possible. John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital also added a second cath lab to meet the North Valley area’s growing demand for services.
Procedures frequently performed in the cath labs of our hospitals include:
- EP Studies
- Catheter Ablation
- Stent Placement
- Pacemaker or defibrillator implants
- Angioplasty
Also, our hospitals’ telemetry units care for patients who may be experiencing unusual heart rhythms (called atrial fibrillation) or other heart-related problems that require close monitoring on an ongoing basis.
