Critical Care & Cardiovascular Intensive Care
Critical Care Unit at
John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital
Deer Valley’s Critical Care Unit (CCU) grew from 10 beds to a new, 32-bed unit in Fall 2004 as part of the hospital’s $48 million expansion. Located on the 2nd floor of the hospital’s new Pavilion 2, the unit features the cutting-edge equipment necessary to provide the highest quality care.
The unit was custom designed with input from our nurses. One element of the design is nurse work areas that are directly outside of the patient rooms, which means each patient’s nurse is just a few steps away.
The multi-diagnostic CCU cares for patients who have a range of illnesses and injuries; about 30 percent are heart patients.
Cardiovascular Intensive Care at
John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital
At North Mountain, the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) features glass walls that allow each room to be easily viewed from the central nursing station.
Two rooms were added to the unit in 2005, bringing its total to 22 rooms. The renovations also included installation of new, state-of-the-art equipment throughout the unit, which is on the hospital’s 2nd floor.
