Program History
In the early years, osteopathic physicians were trained for just one year in a small residential setting, which was the McDowell Osteopathic Hospital. We continued to train physicians through the late eighties, when a change in location caused a hiatus for the program. Our program returned in 1996, and has since added to our total of more than 400 physicians trained since 1949.
