2000s

By 2008, more than 80 years
after what became the John C.
Lincoln Health Network opened,
John C. has grown to become a
major health network and
community service provider in the
North Phoenix area. Shown above
is John C. Lincoln North Mountain
Hospital, with its state-of-the-art
Emergency and Level I Trauma
Center in the foreground.

Remodeling at the John C.
Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital
campus adds Mendy's Place, the
North Valley's only pediatric
emergency center; a new
progressive cardiac care unit;
expanded space for the intensive
care and cardiac care units; and
expanded emergency services.

Erin, whose family was helped by
Marley House, writes a moving
poem about what it means to
give back. She posed for this
photograph in the shadow of
the events surrounding Sept. 11.
